Fund Raising is Ceased

Regarding the fund raising we had through this blog and www.givinghopetoalimin.blogspot.com, we would like to inform you all that our brother Alimin suffered a sudden stroke and passed away on December 7 2008. That is why it is only appropriate for us to stop the fund raising that was originally intended to help with Alimin’s kidney transplant cost. The fund raising was officially ended on December 2008. We sincerely thank all of you for all your kindness and willingness to help Alimin.

We already submitted the money collected through this fund raising to Alimin’s family. Alimin is survived by his wife Chelsea and a daughter Keisha Steffi Winata. Alimin’s family really appreciates and thanks you for all your kindness. The total fund collected is Rp. 32.640.000 and $140

To pay respect and remember Alimin, we continue to keep this blog and the website www.givinghopetoalimin.blogspot.com for Alimin’s family and friends.

Sincerely,

Andrianto and team

R.I.P.

The fight has ended but the glory of the Lord is revealed!

The illness has now diminished and the cheer of our fellow now has completed as he rest in His loving arm, The Lord God Almighty, to Whom Alimin has trusted and served since he was at the elementary school until the end of his duty on this earth.

Alimin leaved us peacefully, December 07 2008*, at 21.30 in Global Medika Hospital, Cikokol, Tangerang, Indonesia.

The family surrounded him and whispering "I Surrender All "

1. All to Jesus, I surrender;
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Refrain

I surrender all, I surrender all,
All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,
I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender;
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

The Background

May I introduce: Alimin, 34 years by now (a husband of Chelsea and a father of Keisha - 13 months years old pretty little girl-) who has kidney failure and now has to sustain himself through 2 times visit to a nearby hospital at Cikokol, Tangerang, Indonesia for hemodialysis starting from March 2008.

That happen all of a sudden. This failure known as Chronic Kidney Failure (CKF) which means the kidney functionality will decreasing until its total failure.

Such gloomy days to realize this fact and almost hard to even think how to keep up the daily life with this limp.

Last week on October 27, 08, he rushed to the ICU for shortness of breath. After through a very critical moment that night and after a week hospitalized, he was released from the hospital with a note: do not drink too much. The kidney inability to adsorb liquid, caused the liquid flooded his lung and paralyzed his breath. Now, he may just drink around 500ml per day. Not more!
(imagine: 500 ml a day!!!! it is less then a bottle of drinking water which is 600 ml).

The Breadwinner

It is sad to know that Alimin just got promoted from his company about 3 days before the kidney failure known. A career promotion that everyone works for a company is expect to.

Imagine, before that day, going to work is just 30min away to Serpong area, but since this promotion order him to move to the office headquarter at Kuningan, South Jakarta which mean he has to fight Jakarta's unfriendly traffic 2 hours in the morning and another 2 hours to back home at Tangerang, driving alone (and finding routes to avoid "3-in-1").

Although it is very tiring physically, but no work is no way!

He has to pay the twice-a-week hemodialysis, the medications and the expectation to have kidney transplantation soon.

As a breadwinner he has to live the family.

Your Participation Does Matter!

There is struggle to raise some amount of fund to help Alimin going along with his 2x a week hemodialysis and also for the kidney transplantation. Considering the amount, we hope there is commitment to fund this on weekly or monthly basis regular donation, but we also much thankful if there is only one drop of your fund to keep this financing effort going as we battle against this running time. We would fully rely on God's help for this.
